THE MISSION

Launch RE•TOUCH/HAITI
a self-sustaining e-commerce photo retouching initiative in Haiti.

WHY?
The need for online imagery is booming, and with that the demand for affordable retouching.
With your support, we are launching a photo retouching studio in Haiti managed and operated by ARTISTS INSTITUTE graduates.

HOW?
SPLASHLIGHT will share its expertise in photo retouching and build upon the ARTISTS INSTITUTE graduates’ outstanding video education to provide them with an immediately marketable skill, and the tools to make it a sustainable and profitable enterprise.
1 - Remote training of a selected candidate
2 - On site training in SPLASHLIGHT facility in Canada
3 - Set up of the retouching operation in Haiti by the candidate
4 - Optimization and further training by SPLASHLIGHT directors in Haiti

Artists Institute is a free college for art and technology in Haiti. The Institute creates opportunities for underprivileged youth to foster entrepreneurship and business development in local creative industries. It offers programs in film, music production and audio engineering.

Artists for Peace and Justice, Artists Institute’s fiscal sponsor, is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the USA and a registered charitable in Canada.

100% of proceeds benefit Artists Institute.

Marc Baptiste was born in Port Au Prince, Haiti.  He has photographed Hollywood A-listers and those residing on the cutting edge of creativity including; Pharrell Williams,  Shakira, Erykah Badu, Chloe Sevigny, Beyonce, Janelle Monae, Idris Elba, Barack Obama and Yoko Ono, among many others.
He supports a number of Haitian charities and his commitment to the re-building of his birthplace prompted his partnership with Donna Karan’s Urban Zen after the devastating 2010 earthquake. Since 2012 Marc has traveled with NOAH NY {a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization} to support their medical mission which provides free medical care to thousands in the town of Fort Liberte, Haiti.
